PANTONE® COLOR OF THE YEAR

Peach Fuzz

Pantone® has announced their Color of the Year for 2024 is 13-1023 Peach Fuzz. Embrace the warmth of this cheerful color that exudes serenity, tradition, and comfort. The undisputed authority on color, Pantone has chosen this velvety peach tone to evoke a sense of nurturing and gentleness. Along with this annual designation, Pantone has also published suggested color pairings. I resonated with the lovely monochromatic “Peach Plethora” palette. Take a moment to explore how I’ve honored the color of the year, and the optimism it brings.

Wild Horses

Embrace your inner cowgirl with a delightfully unexpected combination of soft colors and Western boho ranch style. Never one to take the well-traveled path, I’ve applied warm peachy colors to the wild west for enlivened fabric and wallpaper designs. Rearing mustangs, a bandana print, and vintage horseshoes are all from the Wild Horses collection.

Peach Blossom [Pantone 16-1626] is a suggested color pairing from the Peach Plethora palette. I couldn’t help but give it center stage in an additional offering of  the Mustangs wallpaper design. This playful pattern resonates with cowgirls of all ages from toddler to tween and beyond.

Anchors Aweigh

Typically rendered in nautical blue or red, this little anchor print becomes even more darling in shades of peach. A welcome addition to summer apparel and accessories, these fabric designs add a playful pop of sunshine. Anchors Aweigh is currently available for licensing, and is available for purchase on Spoonflower.com.

Not Quite Peach Fuzz

Peachy tones made their way into the Judy Beau color palette in 2023. Perhaps my psychic abilities were on point, as I departed several times from my usual blue/green signature colors to explore this inviting hue. I favor a vintage look. So in the Sylvie’s Cottage collection, my peach tints tended to be more subtle, and I paired them with classic greens and cream. Rather than recolor, I chose to offer these wallpaper and fabric designs in their original finery.

Sylvie’s Cottage offers a French country aesthetic and romantic charm. The collection is available in several vintage colorways that are lovely for home decor. Bold floral prints and classic stripes and ginghams balance and complement each other in a traditional cottage or farmhouse setting.
